New NADRA CNIC collection update with revised service fees

NADRA stated that once person applies for CNIC, it is important to collect card before given deadline.

NADRA has issued an important notice asking citizens to collect their Computerized National Identity Cards from NADRA offices on time. The authority warned that not picking up the CNIC could create problems later. NADRA stated that once a person applies for a CNIC, it is very important to collect the card before the given deadline.

According to the updated policy, if a CNIC is not collected within three months of the assigned delivery date, it will be permanently discarded. In such cases, the applicant will have to apply again and pay the required fees.

NADRA also advised citizens to use the Pakistan ID Mobile App or choose the home delivery option while applying for a CNIC. This allows the ID card to be delivered directly to the applicant’s home, removing the need to visit a NADRA office.

The authority also shared details about CNIC processing fees and timelines, offering three service options based on urgency.

For new CNIC applications, the normal service is free and takes 15 days. The urgent service costs Rs1,150 and processes the application within 12 days. The executive service costs Rs2,150 and issues the CNIC within 6 days.
