Maulana Aun Muhammad Naqvi, a well-known cleric of Ahl-e-Bayt, died in Karachi at the age of 56 due to coronavirus. He had been undergoing treatment in the hospital for a few days.
Maulana Aun Muhammad Naqvi was the elder brother of the famous Shia leader Allama Shahenshah Naqvi. He has 3 brothers and 3 sisters. It should be mentioned here that Maulana Aun Naqvi’s parents are still alive by the grace of Almighty Allah.
He left behind two sons and three daughters in mourning.
Maulana Aun Muhammad Naqvi hailed from Khairpur Mir, Sindh. He studied at Sultan Madrassas and moved to Karachi in his youth.
After his education here, he started reciting Majalis-e-Aza. He was a well-known Khatib as well as the author of more than 10 religious books.
Meanwhile, Secretary-General of Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi on the demise of prominent Shiite cleric Syed Muhammad Aun Naqvi said that the late cleric was a valuable asset, his demise is an irreparable loss to the nation, Syed Muhammad Aun Naqvi and his preachings will always be remembered.
It is pertinent to mention here that the funeral prayers of Syed Muhammad Aun Naqvi will be offered at Imambargah Shah Karbala Trust Old Rizvia Society on Friday at 3.00 pm and he will be buried in Wadi Hussain Karachi.
