Prince Harry slammed for calling Queen Elizabeth II ‘puppet’
Prince Harry's Netflix documentary portrays Queen Elizabeth II in a negative light....
Mike Tindall missing late Queen Elizabeth II this Christmas
Without Queen Elizabeth, this Christmas will be “quite different,” according to Mike Tindall.
The former rugby star, who is married to Zara, the late queen’s granddaughter, has acknowledged that the royal family’s first Christmas following the beloved monarch’s passing in September will bring about “a lot of change.”
He told his co-host Alex Payne on a holiday episode of his podcast “The Good, The Bad, and the Rugby”: “Yeah, it probably will be.
“So I don’t really know, I’m quite looking forward to it.”
He added: “Obviously, there’s a lot of change, there’s a lot of firsts. Yeah, go and watch [the King’s speech].”
After Christmas, King Charles apparently intends to visit Scotland, breaking one of his mother’s oldest holiday customs.
The monarch, who passed away at the age of 96 at her Balmoral estate, often remained at Sandringham following the festivities on December 25 until until February 6’s Accession Day.
Her inclination was to spend the anniversary of her father George VI’s passing in 1952 at the age of 56 in reflection.
But according to reports, Charles will continue his “normal routine” this week and go to his Scottish residence of Birkhall shortly after Boxing Day to spend Hogmanay. He also “tends to remain there for several weeks into the New Year”.
The outlet added: “Like the Queen, he will continue to work on his ‘red boxes’, which contain official paperwork, and deal with affairs of state every day except Christmas Day.”
With virtually a “full house” of royals expected to attend in honour of the late queen, this year’s Sandringham Christmas gathering will be one of the busiest in recent memory.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s six-part Netflix series, “Harry and Meghan,” which made a number of allegations against the royal family, including that the institution displayed “unconscious” racial “bias,” has sparked widespread speculation that they won’t be present.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, will be guests of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
In addition to Mike and Zara Tindall, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Prince Edward, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes are also expected to attend with their five children.
His daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as well as his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, are anticipated to attend the celebration with the disgraced Duke of York.
