Kate Middleton left red-faced in latest Royal Family engagement

During her most recent Royal Family engagement, Kate, Princess of Wales, was left red-faced after a kitchen disaster.

The Princess was tasked with making a pancake in front of the Oxford House Nursing Home residents.

However, Kate seemed to struggle with making a pancake and described her final product as a “congealed blob”.

When told to wait during the pancake-making process, the royal exclaimed, “See, this is where I go wrong, I always try to turn them too quickly!”

Kate appeared embarrassed by her performance and the silence that surrounded her.

However, the chef attempted to relieve the Princess’s stress by saying, “There is no pressure here!”

Kate informed the chef: “All of the previous ones are far superior to this one.

“I apologise! I didn’t do you justice.

“Would you like to demonstrate how to do it correctly?”

The princess also joked that she had shown how to “not make” a pancake.

During her appearance today, Kate turned back the clock to the 12th anniversary of one of her most memorable engagements before marrying Prince William.

Twelve years ago, Kate tossed a pancake while on a UK tour with Prince William in preparation for their April wedding.

In February 2011, Kate and Prince William both attempted the difficult pancake flip for a children’s cancer charity fundraiser on Shrove Tuesday.

According to one royal observer: “The pancake day event in Belfast was one of the first indications that Kate would be a huge hit with the public. It’s incredible that she doesn’t appear to have aged at all after 12 years!”
