Meghan Markle ‘upset and overwhelmed’ about how she portrayed in the series
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have issued a statement in response to reports that they will sue the TV comedy series South Park.
The satirical animation has mocked Meghan and Harry’s claims of wanting privacy despite signing lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify to publish content about their lives.
The series branded the couple “dumb” and “stupid” whilst also blasting Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare referring to it as “Waaagh”.
According to sources in California, Meghan had become “upset and overwhelmed” by the series’ mockery of her and Harry.
A spokesperson for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, however, told “It’s all nonsense, to be honest. Reports that are completely unfounded and boring.”
The couple’s definitive statement comes as sources told the Spectator that the Duchess of Sussex “is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all”.
And that Meghan has been “upset and overwhelmed” by how she was portrayed in the series over the last few days.
The Sussex statement comes after a royal commentator claimed that the Sussexes’ lawyers were “casting an eye” over South Park’s latest series after the show launched several attacks on the couple.
However, a spokesperson for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry told : “To be honest, it’s all nonsense. Reports that are completely false and tedious.”
The couple’s definitive statement comes as sources told the Spectator that the Duchess of Sussex “is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all”.

A royal commentator claimed that the Sussexes’ lawyers were “casting an eye” over South Park’s latest series after the show launched several attacks on the couple.
Fitzwilliams said: “A lot of people will be laughing at them after South Park satirised the hypocrisy of their obsession with privacy whilst being constantly on air and in print attacking the Royal Family. Harry and Meghan are very unpopular in polls in Britain.”
He added: “The Sussexes want a discussion leading to an apology from the Royal Family because they think they were badly treated when they were senior working royals. This is highly unlikely.
“If their support in America slips badly they are in serious trouble.”
