Prince Harry’s legal battle with the Home Office has cost the UK taxpayer £300,000, So far.

After his armed security was reduced when he stepped down as a working member of the Royal Family, the Duke of Sussex filed a Judicial Review in the High Court.

Prince Harry called the decision “unfair” and offered to pay for his own police protection.

The Duke of Sussex, however, was told that police were not “guns for hire,” and his offer was turned down.

“He claims not to want taxpayers to foot the bill for his guards — but they are being forced to pay hundreds of thousands for his court case,” a source told the Sun on Sunday evening.

When Prince Harry attends official events or stays at Frogmore Cottage, he is protected by armed guards.

The Home Office case involving the Duke of Sussex could be heard in the High Court in early April, but it is unclear whether it will be resolved before King Charles’ Coronation in May 2023.

It comes as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s lawyers are “casting an eye” over South Park’s latest series, which has launched a number of attacks on the couple.

South Park has mocked Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for claiming privacy despite signing lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify to publish content about their lives.

Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare has been ridiculed with South Park referring to it as “Waaagh”.

The couple has also been called “dumb” and “stupid” in the series.

According to royal commentator Neil Sean, the couple’s legal team is now closely monitoring the series for any further attacks.
