Royal Family members are ‘appalled’ by King Charles’ decision
A royal commentator claims that members of the Royal Family are “appalled” by King Charles’ decision to “evict” Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from Frogmore Cottage.
The King has offered Prince Andrew Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s UK base, it was revealed this morning.
The Queen gave the Duke and Duchess of Sussex the five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage as a wedding present in 2018.
However, Meghan and Harry have spent very little time in the royal residence over the last three years.
According to Omid Scobie, the biographer of Meghan and Harry’s book Finding Freedom, the two members of the monarchy are “appalled” by the King’s decision.
Scobie wrote for Yahoo about the Sussexes’ reaction, saying, “It’s news that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family ‘appalled.'”
According to a royal insider, The Sun: “This eviction effectively ends Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.
“Andrew is refusing to move into Frogmore Cottage after being offered it last week.
“However, it demonstrates that Harry and Meghan are powerless to prevent the eviction.”
Before moving into the home they were given by Queen Elizabeth II, the Sussexes ordered £2.4 million in renovations to the cottage.
They stayed at Frogmore for less than a year before deciding to step down as working members of the Royal Family.
Meghan and Harry left the United Kingdom, first to Canada and then to California.
