Netflix Drops 'Jawan' as SRK's Birthday Treat to Fans

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, celebrating his 58th birthday today, has given his fans a special gift by releasing an extended version of the movie ‘Jawan’ on Netflix. This comes almost two months after the movie’s successful run in theaters.

Netflix posted a video on its official social media accounts on Thursday at midnight to announce that a movie is now available for streaming on their platform.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan, playing his Jawan character, jokingly tells Netflix to release the Atlee-directed film within two minutes, or else he playfully threatens that their “Tudum” sound will become “budum.”

As the OTT platform agrees to his demand, the superstar then says, “A gift for you on my birthday. Watch Jawan streaming on Netflix.” In the caption of the video, Netflix specified that an extended version of Jawan has been released on OTT. “Birthday Jawan ka hai par gift sab ke liye We’re good to go! Jawan (the extended cut) is now streaming in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, only on Netflix,” the caption read.
