Journalist Naeem Hanif reveals inside details of Umair Jaswal’s call to Sania Mirza

Amidst the internet’s surprise, there was an outpouring of support for Sania Mirza and Umair Jaswal, Shoaib and Sana’s ex-partners at the time.

While Umair Jaswal maintained a mostly silent stance throughout the situation, his celebrity friends have now started commending him for the grace he displayed. Journalist Naeem Hanif, the Lahore bureau chief for Samaa, is also sharing some insider information on the matter.

According to Naeem Hanif, “Umair Jaswal called Sania Mirza after everything went down. He shared his feelings in all this and listened to Sania. Umair has switched off his phone and he is not responding to anyone right now including journalists.”

He further claimed that Shoaib Malik’s family opposed his marriage to Sana. They traveled to Dubai in an attempt to reconcile issues between him and Sania, but Shoaib did not heed their advice, and the resolution did not materialize.

The journalist went on to claim that Umair never intended to divorce Sana. Subsequently, he received calls from some influential friends of Sana residing in Rawalpindi, urging him to sign the divorce papers. Eventually, he complied with their request, explaining his current silence on the matter.
