Omair Rana Opens Up About His Spiritual Journey
Omair Rana, recognized as one of the most talented actors in Pakistani television, has garnered praise for his versatile roles in various projects. Currently portraying the role of an antagonist, Daud Ali Khan, in the series featuring Shahmeer Sikandar, alias Fazal Bakhsh, played by Bilal Abbas Khan, Rana has captivated audiences with his portrayal of suave yet villainous characters.
Recently, Rana opened up about his spiritual journey, revealing a transformative experience. In his teenage years, he found himself on the brink of extremism but later distanced himself from such ideologies. After a period of detachment from religion, he embarked on a journey of exploration, delving into different faiths. It was the principles of Huqooq ul Ibaad in Islam that ultimately drew him back.
Reflecting on a visit to the Cave of Hira during Hajj, Rana described a profound moment of realization. Accompanying his mother, who couldn’t climb the mountain due to arthritis, he embarked on the journey alone. Upon reaching the sacred site where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) got his first message from Allah, Rana was overcome with emotion, shedding tears as he recited Surah Alaq.
Despite facing personal challenges, including a period of emotional turmoil, Rana found solace in his work, particularly in the series “Sang e Mah.” It was during a moment of vulnerability, marked by tears and a mental breakdown, that he recognized the importance of confronting his emotions rather than bottling them up.
Through these experiences, Rana has navigated a journey of self-discovery, finding strength and enlightenment along the way.
