In an interview with the Indian publication Firstpost, Sania Mirza opened up about achieving stardom at the age of 16. She said that “she was a public figure by 16 and now she is 37, thus she has lived most of her life in the public eye. She said that she has always tried to be as authentic in front of the cameras as she can be.”

She said that “showing vulnerability to the world is not easy. There have been times when she will smile in front of the world when she may just have had a meltdown minutes ago. She said that she sometimes shows her vulnerability but as a public figure, you cannot always do that as you may get taken advantage of.”
