Bee Gul reveals the reality of Pakistani entertainment industry

She has penned phenomenal scripts like Talkhiyaan, Raqeeb Se, and Dar Si Jati Hai Sila. Being a feminist at heart, she openly addresses important topics, emphasizing the importance of discussions in breaking taboos.

Bee Gul was a guest on Rafay Mehmood’s podcast and she opened up about the exploitation that goes on behind the scenes. She said “Yes women who come into the industry have an idea that they will get offers of exploitation. This is the truth and we cannot turn our eyes away from it. In many cases, the starlets do take these offers as they know their potential and many times, they do not have a way to get those opportunities in the industry and society-approved age bracket if they do not take those offers from producers or directors. She also narrated the story of a friend on how she was not getting the lead roles as she was not ready to do these favors.”

Bee Gul disclosed that she has received such offers herself over the years. Offers including an apartment in New York or Dubai or a 7-star vacation are common benefits that one can receive, but she ensured she never accepted any of them, despite still receiving the offers.
