Mariyam Nafees talks about playing the heroine character with Hamza Ali Abbasi

Mariyam Nafees, an actress who does not compromise on quality, has worked selectively in her 9-year career, choosing only stories that she wants to tell. Her passion lies in good stories rather than simply appearing on screens. Mariyam Nafees appeared as a guest for Independent Urdu and discussed her character Zeenat in Jaan e Jahan, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

Mariyam talked about that if she wanted to play a lead opposite Hamza Ali Abbasi as he is one of the most famous actors in Pakistan. She said that “she does not care if she plays a heroine opposite Hamza as they have known each other for years and they are more like friends so being cast as a lead opposite him is not a huge priority. If will be good but she is not actively looking for it.”

She also shared that “she was supposed to play another character in Jaan e Jahan which was later removed from the script. She then got offered two more characters and she chose to play Zeenat as Zeenat had a huge impact in the drama and her character arc was perfect.”
