Ali Abbas Wants Social Media Age Restrictions in Pakistan
Ali Abbas, son of Waseem Abbas and grandson of Inayat Hussain Bhatti, comes from a talented lineage but has carved out his own successful acting career. Beyond his professional achievements, Abbas is also a father to two children.
Amidst global discussions about social media regulations, Pakistan is experiencing significant changes, including the government’s ban on Twitter/X and potential plans for a national firewall. Ali Abbas has now joined the conversation, advocating for stricter social media controls in the country.
During a recent appearance on a talk show, Abbas emphasized the need for regulations, proposing that social media accounts should require proof of identity, such as an ID card or passport, and that users should be at least 18 years old.
He expressed concerns about the younger generation’s direction and the negative and inappropriate content being produced. Abbas believes that implementing these measures could help mitigate these issues and foster a healthier online environment.
