Earlier today, Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf made headlines after getting into an ugly fight with an angry fan while walking with his wife Muzna in Florida. In the video, Haris Rauf can be seen becoming angry at a person who approached him and made disrespectful remarks. Haris Rauf then ran towards the person and said, “He must have been an Indian,” to which the fan replied, “I am a Pakistani.” The video of this incident is going viral on multiple social media platforms and digital applications.

A few people also intervened to stop Haris Rauf from becoming violent. Despite efforts from his wife to calm him down, Haris Rauf continued and engaged in an ugly fight. Now, the pacer has issued an official statement following the buzz created on social media by his viral video.

Haris Rauf wrote, “I decided not to bring this on social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions”
