Samina Khayal Baig, a renowned young Pakistani mountaineer, was born in Shimshal, Gilgit, in 1990. In 2013, she became the first female Pakistani mountaineer to climb Mount Everest. By 2014, she had also climbed the Seven Summits. In 2022, she climbed K2, making her the first Pakistani woman to conquer Mount Everest, K2, and the Seven Summits. At the age of 21, she achieved her Mount Everest ascent. Recently, she has been making headlines for her latest K2 expedition.

Recently, tragic news about the Pakistani mountaineer circulated on social media when she fell ill during her latest K2 expedition, which she was also leading. It was a joint Pakistani-Italian female expedition. According to reports, Baig, who was leading the challenging expedition, began to experience severe breathing issues during her pre-expedition preparation.

Unfortunately, the young mountaineer did not receive timely help despite her rapidly deteriorating health. All the necessary equipment and team members were ready for the rescue operations, but the weather prevented the mission. Samina Baig waited for three days for the helicopter. The doctor assessed her condition and informed everyone about her worsening health.

Therefore, the team decided to evacuate her with human assistance and a horse. According to the latest news, they successfully rescued the brave mountaineer and airlifted her from Dassu to Skardu by helicopter. She is now admitted to the Combined Military Hospital in Skardu and needs prayers. Her family and brother requested prayers and shared details about her tragic evacuation from the expedition.
