Juggun shared that she married her first husband just a week after their initial affection, and the abuse began in the third week of their marriage.

Juggun said, “The first warning signs should never be ignored. It all starts with the abusive words. You need to make a decision when he first raises hand on you, I could make a decision but I was a fool. It was my fault that I made this choice, I got married secretly and told my parents because he was too good looking. I know it was my fault. When Noor Makhdoom’s case went viral, all my family used to discuss it. I didn’t open up about it because I didn’t want to go viral but it was a terrible time for me. When I was in marriage, I used to think I would be treated in the same way, what later happened to Noor Makhdoom. I was seven months pregnant when he abused me and threw me out of the house in torn clothes. May Allah be good to those neighbours who covered me up later.
