Prominent Pakistani singer Aima Baig has vowed to launch a Me Too movement in the country to fight against predators and cheaters. After her recent performance in Jeddah and completion of the Umrah pilgrimage, Baig took to her Instagram stories to express her commitment to empowering Pakistani women.

In her posts, she shared that her spiritual experience had strengthened her resolve to address the mistreatment of women. Baig highlighted that she had been aware of instances where women, both young and old, had been exploited and mistreated by predators, cheaters, and users. She admitted feeling ashamed for not speaking out sooner and emphasized that the victims she refers to are not just herself but women around her.

“It’s like cheating has become a norm and using women for their naivety, innocence, lack of sophistication is a joke.” Baig wrote. She announced her intention to start a Me Too movement, stressing the importance of respecting and valuing women. Baig urged women to acknowledge and address the issues they face, especially the mental and physical toll they endure due to such abuses.

“Certain predators – cheaters – users – ruining minor to aged girls has been under my radar for quite some time but I for some reason felt the need to stay quiet which I’m super ashamed of and will always be,” she added.

“Having a huge platform I urge every woman should acknowledge and address this ongoing fun thing for men. Whereas, these young – unaware of the risk females are going through so much mental and physical depression,” noted the singer.

Additionally, Baig recently announced that she would be leaving Pakistan for some time and would not return soon after performing Umrah. On the professional front, she revealed that her next original single is set to release on August 18.
