Hajra Yamin Discusses Role in Noor Jahan and Marriage Plans

Hajra Yamin, a celebrated Pakistani actress known for her work across television, theatre, and film, recently spoke about her role in the hit drama Noor Jahan and her future marriage plans.

Yamin, who began her acting career in theatre and made her film debut with Pinky Maim Saab, has gained recognition for her performances in various dramas including Mohabbat Chor Di Maine, Teri Raza, Jalan, Shanas, Wonderland, Jindo, Sevak, and Ehd E Wafa.

Her portrayal of Sumbal in Noor Jahan has earned her considerable admiration from fans. In a recent show appearance, Yamin shared insights into her character and discussed her personal plans, including her views on marriage.

Talking about her thoughts on Sumbal’s character, she said, “I used to be very judgemental towards real life submissive girls like Sumbal, but now I have changed my perspective because I have seen her journey, she has a background and a story behind her so I made an apology to all the real life Sumbals”.

Hajra Yamin then gave a message to the girls who are bearing hurdles in married life that they should move on in real life and should live for themselves. She said, “Women should step out of the wrong relationships because life has a lot to offer for them”.

Talking about a comparison with her character in Noor Jahan, she said, “Hajra Yamin and Sumbal are different from each other, we are poles apart”.

She also mentioned receiving an overwhelming response to her role in Noor Jahan, with many people praising her performance in the drama series.

Talking about marriage plans, she said, “I have no plans for marriage so far. There is no scene like that. I have a very few people around me. I love them a lot. I have a family around me and it has set a bar very high for me, so, it is very difficult for me to think about marriage. I am only focused on my work, I am only married to my work. I am very passionate about my profession. Also, I don’t have a family pressure of getting into a relationship like marriage. I was only pressured to complete my bachelors and become independent. I will marry after love, haven’t even loved someone”.
