Singer, actor, and philanthropist Ali Zafar recently hosted a special event to honor Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem for his remarkable javelin performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The intimate gathering, attended by Zafar’s family, celebrated Arshad’s achievements, with Zafar presenting him a Rs1 million cheque in recognition of his success. The evening featured discussions on Arshad’s intense training, techniques, fitness routines, and the challenges faced by Pakistani athletes.

Ali Zafar, who has a history of supporting athletes, had previously aided Arshad in his journey to excel in sports. Both Zafar and Arshad also highlighted the need for increased support for sports in Pakistan.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Zafar expressed the importance of role models like Arshad for the younger generation, praising his inspiring impact. Arshad, in turn, thanked Zafar and his foundation for their continued support of athletes and efforts in promoting education.

Zafar later took to Instagram to express his thoughts, “Our children need local role models, and Arshad Nadeem embodies this perfectly. It’s truly motivating to see the hope and excitement he brings to the younger generation.”
