Pakistan women’s cricket team beat South Africa in the final T20I match of the series by eight runs on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.
Pakistan claimed the victory against Proteas in a rain-interrupted match. Pakistan batted first and set up a target of 128 runs, however, South Africa were nine runs short on DLS when it started pouring.
The African team was struggling at 68 for four in 12.3 overs when rain stopped play with Migon du Preez (24) present at the crease together with captain Sune Luus (10).
Spinner Anam Amin has got two wickets as she destroyed the top order after dismissing Anne Bosch and Marizane Kapp while Nida Dar takes the wicket of Lara Goodall (11).
Earlier, captain Javeria Khan led the team to a challenging total by top-scoring with an unbeaten 56.
Pakistan women’s team tour of South Africa as the home side won the tri-match T20I series 2-1. African wicket-keeper batsman Tazmin Brits was named player of the series.
