Babar Azam Challenges Decision Of Session Court To File Case Against Him

National cricket team skipper Babar Azam has challenged the Sessions Court’s decision to file a case against him, in the Lahore High Court.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Hameza Mukhtar have been made parties in Babar Azam’s petition.

The petition states that Babar Azam is the captain of the national cricket team and one of the best players, he has set many international records.

The petition said that the Sessions Court has ordered to register a case under the Cyber ​​Crimes Act.

In his petition, Babar Azam said that in the light of the decisions of the Supreme Court, the Justice of the Peace is not bound to order the registration of the case.

He asked the High Court to quash the decision of the trial court to register the case and suspend the decision till the final decision of the petition.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Thursday instructed to file an FIR against the Pakistan cricket team’s captain Babar Azam for sexually harassing Hameza Mukhtar.

The LHC judge has heard a petition filed by Akhtar, who had supposedly accused Babar Azam of sexual harassment.

According to the details, the ‘termed’ victim has submitted an application against unknown callers for threatening, blackmailing and sending immoral messages to her.

However, the report provided told that the numbers were registered to name Maryam Ahmed, Muhammad Baber and Saleema Bibi.

Furthermore, the captain did not record his statement in this regard. His brother Faisal arose before the inquiry and demanded some time for Babar’s appearance.

However, the FIA in its report said that Baber Azam found chargeable in the matter.

Earlier, the Lahore sessions court had ordered Babar Azam and his family to stop harassing Hameza Mukhtar.

Previously, on behalf of Babar Azam, Advocate Mubashir Sajjad had submitted the power of attorney.

National cricketer Babar Azam submitted his lawyer’s power of attorney against the woman who had made serious allegations against the cricketer.

The police had also appealed to the court to bring both the parties face to face so that the court could provide time for a full report. The court granted the police plea and adjourned the hearing till December 14, 2020.

Note that, Hameza Mukhtar had also claimed that the cricketer blackmailed her and fornicated with her consent on promises of marriage.
