During his World Snooker Championship match against Jack Lisowski on Monday, Australia’s Neil Robertson made a 147 maximum break.
As he tried to escape a second-round exit at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, Robertson scored only the 12th 147 in tournament history.
Robertson’s 147 was the sixth of his career and his first at the World Championship.
He raised his arms in triumph before receiving a congratulatory handshake from Lisowski.
The 40-year-remarkable old’s break brought him within one frame of Lisowski, who led 10-9 in the best-of-25 match.
Robertson will split the £15,000 ($19,000) high break award with Graeme Dott, who hit the maximum in qualifying, plus £40,000 for doing it in the final rounds of the event.
In his lone appearance in the final in 2010, the former world number one won his only World Championship title.
