Following Manchester United’s recent Champions League defeat, fans threw objects at Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, earning the club an £8,420 (€10,000) fine.

After United’s 1-0 loss at Old Trafford, Simeone was attacked with missiles as he walked to the tunnel.

Ralf Rangnick’s side was eliminated from the Champions League after losing 2-1 on aggregate to Atletico Madrid.

Uefa also fined Rangers (£38,900) and Liverpool (£8,420).

Rangers have been fined a total of 46,250 euros after fans let off fireworks and the team was blamed for a late kick-off in their 1-0 Europa League defeat to Braga on April 7.

Liverpool has been fined 10,000 euros and manager Jurgen Klopp has been warned for a late kick-off in their 3-1 Champions League win against Benfica on 5 April.

After home fans flung bottles and plastic cups onto the pitch as Barcelona ran down the clock towards the conclusion of their Europa League win in Istanbul last month, Galatasaray got a partial stadium shutdown – subject to a two-year probationary term.

The game was delayed for many minutes by the referee while the Galatasaray players attempted to calm things down.
