With a dramatic injury-time victory over Lazio, AC Milan reclaimed first place in Serie A.
Ciro Immobile scored his 26th goal of the season after the Rossoneri were caught sleeping after four minutes.
After a quick equalizer from Olivier Giroud, Milan’s persistence paid off as Zlatan Ibrahimovic set up Sandro Tonali for the winner.
With four games remaining, Stefano Pioli’s squad is two points ahead of Inter, but they have played one more game.
Milan knew only three points would get them back to the top of Serie A after Inter’s huge win over Roma last night.
The worst possible start was conceding Immobile’s opening, but Pioli’s side were quickly on the attack, only for Giroud, Barcelona-bound Franck Kessie, and the brilliant Rafael Leao to waste clear chances.
Giroud, undeterred, scored his first goal for the club in seven games when he headed home Leao’s cross right after the restart.
Pioli introduced Ibrahimovic, 40, and Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha made brilliant saves from Leao and Ante Rebic in a hectic last ten minutes.
In the 89th minute, Ibrahimovic had a fantastic opportunity, but he dallied and his errant attempt was stopped.
Their title hopes appeared to be stalling until Lazio defender Adam Marusic gave the ball away, Ibrahimovic won a header, and Tonali was on there to bundle in a crucial victory.
