In-form Pakistan will look to win the ODI series in today’s finale after they take on Australia at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

After losing by 88 runs in the first ODI, Pakistan replied the Aussies strongly and levelled the series with a record run chase of 349.

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, won the toss and chose to bowl first. However, Travis Head, who hit a century in the first match, continued in the same vein with an 89 at the top of the order for the home team.

Ben McDermott, who got a half-century in the first encounter, improved his game even more by scoring his first ODI century to help his side post a massive 348 runs.

Shaheen Afridi, who returned for the series’ second game, took four wickets. Pakistan had an enormous task ahead of them, but centuries from Imam-ul-Haq and Babar, as well as Khushdil Shah’s cameo, enabled them to reach the mark with an over to spare.
