Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi condemned the Israeli troops’ brutality against Palestinians at Masjid Al Aqsa and the challenges that Muslims face in India on Friday.
On Friday, Israeli riot police entered Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound, injuring at least 152 Palestinians, the latest breakout in a recent spike of violence that has stoked worries of a return to wider conflict.
According to Al Jazeera, Muslims in many Indian regions were on edge after mobs marched through their towns, screaming hate speeches and damaging their homes.
In response, the famous cricketer expressed his dismay at seeing footage of hate and crimes perpetrated against Muslims at the Al Aqsa mosque, which was a place of prayer.
Taking to Twitter, Afridi tweeted: “Similarly demolishing Muslim family homes in India is inhumane. My heart goes out to our brothers and sisters.”
Devastated to see the clips of the hate and atrocities happening against Muslims at Al Aqsa mosque, a place of worship. Similarly demolishing Muslim family homes in India is inhumane. My heart goes out to our brothers and sisters, what has mankind come to
Ya Rabb Rehem farma 🤲🏽
