James Haskell has apologized for “disregarding ladies’ rugby” after remarks he made via virtual entertainment to Bristol player Simi Pam on Monday.

In light of an Instagram post put out by Haskell’s rugby webcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, which recorded the most covered England ‘first column advances’ including Jason Leonard, Dylan Hartley and Steve Thompson, Pam brought up that resigned England Women’s player Rocky Clark (137 covers) really has more than the men recorded, yet was forgotten about.

She posted: ‘I think you intended to say ‘most England covers – MALE first line advances’. If it’s not too much trouble, quit slighting the ladies like this. Since the manner in which you’ve named this rundown, we realize Rocky Clark tops it. Kindly improve @goodbadrugby’.

Haskell’s reaction was first to answer ‘@simipam have a vacation day.’, prior to erasing the remark and posting: ‘We have accomplished other things to support lady’s [sic] rugby than any other person.

We made a show called great scaz rugby about the female game. Assuming we were chatting on that show we would have said ladies, female anything you desired.

By raising a huge ruckus over stuff like this you debilitate your point and really put yourselves in a difficult spot. Pick your fights and attempt to be positive.’

In the middle between the two remarks, Pam – who as well as playing for Bristol, fills in as a specialist – answered: ‘As somebody who has been a visitor on your side project show @goodscazrugby, hearing that this is the manner by which you answer being amended for a slip-up is extremely telling.

‘I will not have a three day weekend – how about you simply improve and quit affronting your female fan base and their good examples?’

Haskell then, at that point, continued to obstruct Pam, and a few different banners who contradicted his takes.

On Tuesday, he delivered a three-minute video statement of regret through Instagram, in which he says: “I truly feel like my quiet has left a void which individuals are loading up with falsehoods, character deaths and really forceful remarks about me and my respectability.

“Recently on the Good, Bad and Rugby digital recording we posted about Steve Thompson and the astonishing excursion he’s on.

“It was subtitled: ‘Britain’s most covered front-rowers ever’, with an image of Thompson and Dylan Hartley. We ought to have put the ‘men’s most covered England front-rowers ever’, without doing that we minimize individuals like Rocky Clark and we cause offense.

“So in light of that we were immersed with public remarks and it was a veritable error which was immediately amended. Clearly inside these remarks they weren’t generally placed in the best manner.

“I’d strolled off stage pretty siphoned subsequent to doing a live show, brimming with adrenaline, I figure out we’ve strolled into somewhat of a media tempest and I honestly didn’t get my response right.

“I posted without thinking since I felt as an organization and people we were being gone after. We make a respectable attempt to get things right and advance ladies’ rugby in the correct manner.”

Responding to the post through Twitter, Clark herself answered saying: The manner in which @RockyClark_1 looks @jameshaskell and @GoodBadRugby when they leave her off the most covered first column list.

Haskell included his video: “For me to tell an individual player to ‘have a three day weekend’ was not aware and downplayed a reason they are battling enthusiastically for.

“It’s a reason that everyone at Good, Bad Rugby, myself included, is a 100 percent lined up with. I erased that remark following several seconds, virtual entertainment individuals screen capture stuff.

“I answered with my thought process was a substantially more concise remark that I feel going after individuals currently your ally – so I feel like we are in favor of ladies’ rugby.

“So by going after us you minimize your point and spellbind assessment. That unique post was on our Good, Bad Rugby channels which is dominatingly about men’s rugby and that assuming we had made the point somewhere else we could figure out the response.

“I stand by this point, be that as it may, I am mindful I have not confronted any of the battles so many in the ladies’ down face so interests in all actuality do run high.

“We can all concur there are better ways of taking care of these things. I really didn’t plan to slight ladies’ rugby and no chance did my answer mean to cause offense.
