Mark Cavendish, an Olympic and Tour de France cyclist, and his wife Peta have been accused of being robbed at their home by two males.

At 02:35 GMT on November 27, the couple was threatened at their home in the Ongar region of Essex, according to Chelmsford Crown Court.

Oludewa Okorosobo, 28, of Camberwell, south London, and Romario Henry, 31, of Lewisham, south London, pleaded not guilty to two counts of robbery.

They are scheduled to go on trial on October 3rd.

Ali Sesay, a third defendant, was not asked to enter a plea to the two accusations.

Despite the fact that no one was seriously injured during the raid, Mr. Cavendish said his family was “very worried” and “feared for their lives” in a statement.

A Louis Vuitton luggage and two high-value watches were stolen, according to the police.

Mr. Henry of Bell Green and Mr. Okorosobo of Flaxman Road were arrested and placed in custody.

Mr. Sesay, of Rainham’s Holding Street, was also remanded in custody and will appear in court on Friday for a case management hearing.

Cavendish, 36, was recovering from serious injuries sustained in a track event in Belgium earlier that month at the time of the incident.

Last year’s Tour de France saw the rider, who hails from the Isle of Man, win four stages, tying Belgian legend Eddy Merckx’s record of 34.
