In an interview with an Indian news channel, Shahid Afridi reacts to Danish Kaneria’s charges that he had terrible memories with Shahid Afridi.

Kaneria claimed that Afridi humiliated him, tortured him, tried to convert him by force, and damaged his career.

Kaneria, on the other hand, is rediscovering his painful recollections after more than two decades. That was broadcasted on an Indian news channel.

Shahid Afridi, in response to Danish Kaneria’s charges, stated that he was attempting to thoroughly comprehend religion at the time when Kaneria was speaking.

“And look at who is speaking about it, someone whose own character is questioned.”

Danish Kaneria defamed the country in the spot-fixing case, according to Shahid Afridi, who accused him of seeking cheap fame and profit.

“I played with Danish Kaneria in the department for many years,” he stated, adding, “Now fifteen or twenty years later, why Danish Kaneria remembers these allegations, everyone knows what his role is.”

Former captain questioned why Kaneria did not file a complaint against him with the Pakistan Cricket Board or Habib Bank if his attitude toward him was terrible.

Former leg-spinner Danish Kaneria, who was convicted in the spot-fixing case, claims that because he is a Hindu, former captain Shahid Afridi’s attitude toward him was inappropriate, and he pressed him to convert to Islam.

Danish Kaneria claimed in an interview with an Indian TV channel that, “former chairman Ijaz Butt refused to recognize my position and my cricket career was gone.”

“My troubles have always been with Shahid Afridi because he is better than me in the team,” the former spinner added, claiming that Shoaib Akhtar was the first to talk about Afridi on state television.

“They had no attitude and were constantly trying to bring me down,” Kaneria stated.

“In cricket, Shahid Afridi is a household name. He let me sit outside the department because he was the captain,” he explained.

“I had to play county cricket because if I didn’t play in the department, I’d have problems with the county contract,” Kaneria continued.

“When Younis Khan took over as captain in lieu of Shahid, he allowed me play all the matches.”

Danish Kaneria claimed that Shahid Afridi used to hit him in fielding practice by passing phrases that he disregarded. He said, “I didn’t even talk to them and stayed away.”

“Pervez Musharraf helped me when Muhammad Yusuf converted to Islam. ‘If somebody troubles you, tell me, Pervez Musharraf said once,’ I was upset because of Shahid.”

According to the former cricketer, no one forced Muhammad Yusuf to convert to Islam; it was his own decision, and other players warned Shahid Afridi not to disturb him.

“I was lucky in having the backing of the entire Pakistani team when I was banned for spot-fixing” Danish stated.

Afridi remarked that the punishment on Danish appeared reasonable, while continuing to defend Muhammad Amir in a similar instance.
