WATCH: Mohammad Rizwan bowls for the first time in his career

Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan grabbed attention over social media when he was observed bowling for Sussex CCC at the County Championship 2022.

Rizwan, who is on the Sussex team alongside India’s experienced Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, is rarely seen bowling. However, he bowled some medium-pacer deliveries during Sussex’s drawn match against Durham.

Rizwan can be seen jogging with a very brief run-up and bowling wicket to wicket deliveries as a right-arm medium pace bowler in a video posted on Sussex’s official Twitter account.

It’s worth noting that in Sussex’s batting, Rizwan made his first County Championship fifty, scoring 79, while Pujara made his second double-hundred, scoring 203 runs with 24 boundaries.
