West Indies tour of India scheduled on July 22

Indian team’s Caribbean tour will begin on July 22 with a five-match white-ball series in Trinidad and St Kitts, including three One-Day Internationals and five Twenty20 Internationals, before concluding in the United States.

According to information obtained from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket West Indies (CWI), the three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will be played on July 22, 24, and 27 at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad, with the first of five Twenty20 Internationals on July 29 at the newly-built Brian Charles Lara Stadium.

The following two T20Is will be played on August 1 and 2 at Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis, after which the cavalcade will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the last two games on August 6 and 7.

“Those are the dates, and the timetable will be released once the US has given its approval. We’re waiting for the US to impose sanctions “On Friday, a top CWI official with firsthand knowledge of the developments told (May 6).

From July 1 to 17, the Indian squad will travel to Trinidad from the United Kingdom after completing a Test, three T20Is, and as many ODIs, in that order.

India will travel to the United Kingdom through Ireland, where it will play two One-Day Internationals in Dublin on June 26 and 28.

After a five-match home T20I series against South Africa from June 9 to 19, two batches of Indian players (one of which includes Test specialists) are set to depart for Ireland and England on June 20.

Given the improvement in Coronavirus conditions around the world, it’s unlikely that any of the tours will have too many days of quarantine or tight bio-bubbles requirements.

“The India series is still roughly three months away,” a CWI official stated, “but medical regulations will have to be followed as needed.”
