Raducanu, the British number one, has stated that he and former world number one Murray want to play together.

We haven’t actually discussed it, but it’s something we both want to do,” said Raducanu, who begins her Wimbledon preparations at the Nottingham Open on Tuesday.

“I’m not sure if this is the year, but hopefully it will be.”

Raducanu made her WTA debut at the Nottingham Open in June of last year and, just three months later, became the first qualifier to win a Slam with a stunning victory at the US Open.

And meanwhile, on her Wimbledon debut as a wildcard last summer, she was forced to retire from her fourth-round match due to breathing problems.

“I actually got my wildcard in Nottingham, so it has a special place for me,” said Raducanu, who faces Viktorija Golubic in the first round.

“However, what happened in the last Wimbledon match was quite difficult at the time, and I had no idea how I would react after that.”

“It was the largest court I’d ever played on, there were a lot of people there, and I couldn’t wait to keep going.” It was difficult for me not to finish the match, but I had a very positive week.”

Raducanu has accelerated her grass-court preparations following a second-round exit at the French Open last month.

She is going to look for her fourth coach in a year and has already been dealing with a string of minor injuries since her US Open victory.

“To be honest, it’s been a really tough 12 months.” “It’s not always easy,” Raducanu admitted.

“I’ve definitely learned a great deal about myself, and my approach is very different now.”

“I’m focusing a lot more on the process of what I’m doing every day because I know that’s the only thing I have control over.”
