Jim Ross is a talent rep and wrestling commentator. He’s a broadcaster, analyst, and senior adviser for AEW.
Everyone, even Jim Ross, commentator for AEW, has their own view on who they think is the greatest wrestler in WWE, and this discussion happens at least once a week, if not more often.
The WWE Hall of Famer is one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, and he recently proclaimed Randy Orton to be the company’s top worker in a “Grilling JR” podcast. JR says, “Randy is excellent,” and the Viper has been with the organization since 2001. He debuted on the main roster the following year.
“He still is amazing, he may be the best worker on the WWE roster,” JR said. “You wouldn’t get too many of the talents to disagree with that … Everybody wants to work with Randy. I just hope he gets healthy and gets back in business.”
WWE veteran Orton. Evolution, Legacy, and The Authority granted him 20 WWE titles, 14 global titles. Due to a back injury, he may miss SummerSlam.

Ross mentioned Orton at KoR 2002. He challenged Undertaker for SmackDown’s Undisputed Title. Ross saw Orton’s star potential after only six televised bouts.
“He was such a young kid sucking up all that information and knowledge and experiences,” Ross said. “I was always proud of Randy’s in-ring work, he was just a natural, as we know.”
