Olympic champion Jacobs, who finished his 2021 season early refering to weariness, said he was expecting to be fit in time.
The 27-year-old, who turned into the main Italian to win Olympic 100 meters gold in Tokyo last year, got the injury during his triumph in the 100m in Savona, Italy in May and furthermore missed the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene last end of the week.
