Peshawar Zalmi, a PSL team, has made the announcement that it will organise cricket trials abroad and look for cricket talent in the UK and other European nations.
Former Pakistani cricketers Inzamam-Ul-Haq and Muhammad Akram, left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz, South African Hashim Amla, and England cricket coach James Foster are on the coaching staff for the Zalmi Talent Hunt UK.
According to a statement made by Peshawar Zalmi, an international squad will be established following the conclusion of the hunt, and they will compete in this year’s “who will become KP’s champion” event in Peshawar.
According to Javed Afridi, chairman of Peshawar Zalmi, “the talent hunt’s goal is to promote a positive image of Pakistan throughout the world and to use cricket to spread the message of peace, love, and unity.”
Young cricketers have the chance to showcase their potential, according to Inzamam, who is also the franchise’s president.
The first part will take place in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Luton, and Bristol from June 28 through July 22.
This project is a part of our “Bringing Communities Together” campaign, which aims to bring together disparate communities through shared interests and social activities, according to Chairman Afridi.
The best cricketers identified during this international talent search will join a Zalmi foreign cricket team, according to Zalmi’s Director of Cricketing Affairs Muhammad Akram.
He also said that the top players would have the opportunity to go and train with Zalmi’s starting lineup for the eighth season of the PSL.
