Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul: Love Island star’s boxing match versus YouTuber has a date and location announced
The battle between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, scheduled for August 6 at Madison Square Garden, has been CONFIRMED.
The fight between the two had been scheduled for last year but Tyson’s brother, Tyson Fury, withdrew due to illness and injuries.
However, a date and location have finally been revealed after months of slander, with Paul sharing the spotlight in New York with seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano.
Paul stated in a social media post: “Okay folks, he overnighted grew a set. It’s official—I’m going to chop off this little Fury’s head.
“I’ll be competing in a dual main event with Amanda Serrano at the boxing temple.
“On June 29th at 11AM, there will be a formal press conference and ticket sales. #PaulFury.”
Following Paul’s Wednesday accusation that Fury was attempting to back out of negotiations, the statement was made.
He stated: “Yet again, I receive a text from my management informing me that Tommy Fury has withdrawn from the fight.
“We accepted all of the conditions, and the fight is in 45 days. We consented to his $2 million bag, VADA tests, more hotels, extra flights, and extra tickets.
“A press conference is currently set for next week in New York.
What’s the justification? since my father is unable to accompany me. Tommy, your father is not permitted to enter the United States because of a 15-year travel ban.
“I’ll accept to battle without my team; we can both go it alone. Real boxers orchestrate bouts; it is what they do.
You say you’re a professional boxer, yet you won’t enter the ring because you’re afraid.
“Where are you talking s*** now? You’re again dropping the ball on the best opportunity of your life. You are such a f***ing fool, I can’t believe how stupid you are.
Immediately after, Fury retorted, “The fight is on. 6 August.
“Ignore a group or any other b****. You don’t need anyone’s assistance as I lay flat on the canvas.
Oh, and thanks for signing the drug test consent form at last. You only consented to it after realising that the fight was in jeopardy – who needs who?
In a follow-up video posted on Thursday, he assured followers that the contracts had been signed and the fight had begun.
As soon as the August 6 date was confirmed, Paul immediately posted the battle poster.
On Wednesday, June 30, the first news conference will be held.
