Southampton travel to Midlands to face Aston Villa at Villa Park
Southampton is playing in a Premier League encounter today as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team travels to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa.
Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, all Premier League games were postponed last weekend. Games will resume this evening (Friday). One of the games that was postponed was Southampton’s home match versus Brentford. A new date has not yet been established for the rescheduled game.
After a dismal start to the new season under Steven Gerrard, Saints are in action tonight against a Villa team searching for just their second victory of the year. Southampton, who are now in 12th place with seven points after six games, are five spots and three points ahead of the Villains in the standings.
Two top-flight matches are being played tonight, with Nottingham Forest playing Fulham at the City Ground in the other. However, the only match being broadcast on television is Southampton’s trip to Villa.
If you can’t watch the game at the scheduled start time of 8 p.m. (BST), highlights will be made available later tonight on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel.
The match between Nottingham Forest and Fulham, as well as the three scheduled matches that are scheduled to take place on Saturday, including Wolves vs. Manchester City, Newcastle United vs. Bournemouth, and Tottenham vs. Leicester City, will also be featured on BBC’s Match of the Day tomorrow night.
