Monday, England won the Multan Test by 26 runs, making it 2-1 in the three-match series. The last match is set to take place in Karachi.

At lunch, the green shirts were 291/7 and needed 355 runs to reach their goal.

On the crease are Agha Salman and Mohammad Ali.

Faheem Ashraf was out early in the day after scoring 10 runs. Later, Mohammad Nawaz and Saud Shakeel played well and brought the team closer to the goal before they were out.

Just before lunch, Saud Shakeel was the last person to leave. He got out after getting 94 runs, which many former cricket players, including the former captain of Pakistan, Waqar Younus, thought was a strange call.

Pakistan finished the third day at 198-4, needing another 157 runs with two full days remaining.

England ended Pakistan’s unbeaten run of 66 runs with three wickets for 17 runs, thanks to reverse swing.

After being 156 minutes down, Haq (60) and Shakeel (54 not out) led a remarkable comeback with a stand of 108 for the fourth wicket before Jack Leach had the former caught at slip three overs before stumps.

Following hamstring treatment, Haq batted at number five instead of first and hit seven boundaries.

Faheem Ashraf, promoted to number six, was three not out as Pakistan chased a series-leveling win after losing the first of three Tests by 74 runs in Rawalpindi.
