Freya Kemp injured, out of 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Thursday that all-rounder Freya Kemp of England has been ruled out of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa in February of next year due to a stress fracture in her back.
The left-arm fast and late-order batter travelled to the Caribbean with the team but had to return home because to back issues. She was absent for the whole West Indies three-match ODI series, which England won 3-0.
The scans after the 17-year-old returned home early showed that a stress fracture had been identified.

Kemp, who participated in nine T20Is after making her T20I debut earlier this year, had an economy rate of slightly over seven runs per over while capturing eight wickets at an average of 18.62. England and West Indies are currently playing each other in a five-match T20I series, and England has won each match thus far.
