Mickey Arthur accepts to coach Pakistan’s cricket team
ISLAMABAD: Mickey Arthur has agreed to be the coach of the Pakistan team again after the Pakistan Cricket Board asked him to.
Mickey Arthur, on the other hand, was angry that he was fired from his coaching job without a proper goodbye and asked that it not happen again.
Sources say that Arthur’s contract with the English county Derbyshire will end soon and that he will become a coach for PCB when Saqlain Mushtaq’s contract ends in February 2023.
Mickey Arthur is a former cricket player from South Africa and Australia. From May 2016 to August 2019, Arthur, who is 54 years old, was Pakistan’s coach.
In 2016, Pakistan became the best Test team in the world, and in 2017, they won the Champions Trophy. Pakistan also won the T20 in 2018 thanks to Arthur’s work.
Ramiz Raja was fired by the coalition government, and Najam Sethi was put in charge of the PCB’s interim board.
Najam Sethi began making significant changes to the national cricket team and the board’s structure as soon as he began working for PCB.
Last week, Shahid Afridi, a famous cricket player, was named the chief selector, or head of the selection committee. A former cricket player named Abdul Razak was also on the PCB’s selection committee.
Also, Mickey Arthur is likely to join the Cricket Board in February 2023.
