Neymar has admitted that he is thinking about quitting international competition after Brazil’s unexpected loss from the FIFA World Cup 2022. Brazilian coach Tite abruptly announced his resignation following the defeat in Doha, while 38-year-old Chelsea defender Thiago Silva declared he would never longer play for his country.

After the heartbreaking defeat in Doha, Brazilian coach Tite abruptly resigned, and 38-year-old Chelsea defender Thiago Silva declared he would no longer play for his country. Neymar, who is 30 years old, has acknowledged that he is considering his future. He claimed that because the loss would sting for a very long time, he would need to find solace in his family.

After a penalty shootout, Croatia eliminated the tournament favourites and advanced to the quarterfinals. The five-time champions have never had a victory separated by more than 20 years. In order for the European players to experience the humiliation of the response at home, they took an early morning flight back to the nation’s capital, Brasilia, with a layover in London.

“I feel really bad at this moment. It is hard to take in everything that has gone on. It seems like a nightmare. I just can’t believe what has happened,” The Daily Mirror quoted Neymar as saying. “I want to take time to think about the national team and think about what I want for myself. I am not closing the door on the national team, but I am not saying 100 percent either that I will come back.”

Neymar insisted that there were no resentments and wanted fans to blame him for the defeat rather than Rodrygo for missing the penalty kick.

Neymar informed his colleagues that as he was one of the team’s more experienced players, the duty fell to him.
