Following the Pants’s injuries in a automobile accident near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on Friday morning, a medical bulletin reported that the results of India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant‘s MRI of the brain and spine are normal.

The 25-year-old also had plastic surgery to treat his facial wounds, lacerations, and abrasions, while the MRI scans of his ankle and knee were put off until Saturday due to discomfort and swelling.

He has also been given a “upper knee splintage… for probable right knee ligament injury, and suspected right ankle ligament injury,” according to a report from the doctors at Max Hospital in Dehradun.

Pant is “stable, cognizant, and oriented,” according to the medical bulletin sent by the hospital on Friday night, the article continued.

In a statement earlier that day, the BCCI stated that Rishabh had two wounds on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, as well as injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe and back abrasions.

When Pant was travelling from Delhi to Roorkee early on Friday, the accident happened. His automobile, which sustained significant damage in the collision, is said to have collided with a road divider before catching fire on the Delhi-Dehradun route.

After being treated for impact injuries at a nearby hospital, Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre, the left-handed batter was sent to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

The India teams for the T20I and ODI home series against Sri Lanka beginning on January 3 did not include Pant. Prior to the Test series against Australia in February, he was scheduled to travel to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for strength and conditioning.

Most recently, he contributed a 93-run performance that helped India win the series 2-0 against Bangladesh in the first innings of the second Test in Mirpur.
