Yasir Hameed, a former Pakistani cricketer who played in the Test Series, has claimed that an Indian channel has not paid him for his appearances and that the show’s producer is ignoring his calls and emails.

The opening batter complained about the station on Twitter, alleging that he was called by the Indian TV network during the World Cup and asked to participate in some of their programmes.

According to sources, the Peshawar-born cricketer said that he committed to do six programmes for a set price, but that the show’s producer had stopped replying to his messages.

The former cricketer, who played 25 Test matches for Pakistan, went on to say that the salary was meant to be paid in a matter of days but has still to materialize after two months had passed.

The 44-year-old batsman, however, has since deleted the tweet he posted criticizing the Indian channel, however screenshots of the post are still doing the rounds online.

A skilled but unlucky batsman, Yasir Hameed has appeared in 25 Tests and 56 ODIs for Pakistan, amassing 1,491 and 2,028 runs, respectively.
