A new deal between Real Madrid and Asensio is reportedly being negotiated, according to Marca. However, the 27-year-old is hoping for more money as well as a more crucial position at the club.

However, the length of the contract has been agreed upon between the player and the organization.

The Spanish player’s current contract expires in June, which has fueled rumors’ that he may leave as a free agent in the summer.

Barcelona, Real Madrid’s fiercest rivals, have been considered as prospective bidders for the winger as a result of their relationship with his agent Jorge Mendes.

Asensio and the club engaged in contract negotiations throughout the summer, but they were unsuccessful due to the disparity in pay between what was demanded and what was provided.

However, Asensio stated last week that he is still determined to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
