Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim excelled for Sylhet Strikers
Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim starred for their team, Sylhet Strikers, against Chattogram Challengers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday.
In his four overs, Amir took a wicket for 17 runs, which helped his team win the ball game. Imad, a left-arm spinner, claimed two wickets for 23 runs within his allotted four overs. In 20 overs, the two Pakistani bowlers helped their team reduce the opposition to 174-6.
Amir now has 11 wickets this season, which puts him in joint third place among all BPL players after his Saturday wicket. Imad has so far taken nine wickets in nine games.
With 13 wickets, Pakistani bowler Wahab Riaz is presently the tournament’s top wicket-taker. The pacer, who is competing for the Khulna Tigers, was appointed Punjab’s temporary sports minister.
Players from the BPL have been recalled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The management committee has requested that players return by the beginning of February.
The Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will compete in an exhibition game, according to Najam Sethi, the chairman of the PCB management committee. Pakistan players who are named in the roster are also encouraged to take part.
The eagerly anticipated match will take place on February 5 in Quetta. The BPL players named in the roster for the exhibition game include Wahab, Iftikhar Ahmed, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Haris, and Saim Ayub.
