James becomes 2nd player in NBA history to score 38,000 career points....
On Wednesday, Serbian Nikola Jokic made basketball history by assisting the Denver Nuggets in their 122-118 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jokic, the most recent two-time NBA MVP, just gave his 3,680th assist of his career, breaking Alex English’s Nuggets record.
It should be noted that John Stockton, a former member of the Utah Jazz, holds the NBA record with 15,806 points.
The Nuggets have won eight straight games and are in first position in the Western Conference just over halfway through the 82-game season.
They are half a game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies, who have won 11 straight games after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers, matching their previous winning streak record.
With 16.6 seconds remaining, Steven Adams made the game-winning shot to give the Grizzlies a 115-114 victory.
The Miami Heat defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 124-98, the Washington Wizards defeated the New York Knicks 116-105, and the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Dallas Mavericks 130-122.
While the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Indiana Pacers 126-106, the Sacramento Kings upset the Los Angeles Lakers 116-111. The Charlotte Hornets defeated the similarly struggling Houston Rockets 122-117, while the Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 126-103.
