The Pakistan Super League is the next great franchise bandwagon getting ready to enthral spectators during the T20 league season.

Two well-known competitions began in January: the International League T20 and the SA20 T20 competition in South Africa. Both the Bangladesh Premier League and the Big Bash League in Australia are still going strong. In other words, franchise cricket is played all around.

Pakistan will have their chance to display their T20 brilliance next month. On February 13, their wildly popular PSL returns, with the opening match taking place in Multan between the 2022 champion Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans.

Shaheen Afridi, the team captain and fast bowler, became the best cricketer in Pakistan last season after Lahore overcame Multan at home by a score of 42 runs to win the PSL championship.

Some of the biggest names in franchise cricket will return to Pakistan this year to compete for the top prize.

There is a salary cap because the best PSL players are chosen through a draught, which determines their selection. With a basic price of $130,000, the Platinum category is the highest level, where players can win up to $170,000.
