The Pakistan Super League (PSL), the greatest cricket tournament in the nation, will hold its eighth edition from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

According to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the new management committee, led by Najam Sethi, is dedicated to interacting with fans from all over the nation in the run-up to the event.

Quetta will be the sixth venue to host the PSL’s eighth season, Sethi stated shortly after taking over as chairman of the management committee, pending to security clearance.

On February 5, which is recognised as “Kashmir Day” across the nation, Quetta Gladiators will host Peshawar Zalmi in an exhibition game in an effort to draw in Quetta’s supporters.

The sources claim that last weekend, PCB conducted a reconnaissance of Quetta’s sole cricket stadium with the help of the production and marketing teams.

The PCB is attempting to set aside funds for the city to solely hold exhibition games. PCB is dedicated to providing fans with top-notch cricket action in cooperation with security officials.

Development work at Bugti Stadium is reportedly progressing apace. The stunning venue will once again stage international class cricket after just hosting one ODI in 1996.

However, a Gladiators spokesman also stated that their Pakistani players will be present for the scheduled exhibition game versus Zalmi at full strength.

“We are too excited for playing a match at our home for the very first time,” the representative said.

“It is a good step taken by PCB, Quetta fans are desperately waiting for this match, and so do we. We are hopeful that all our Pakistani players will participate in this contest. There are a lot of challenges we have to face while hosting this match. Fingers crossed, I hope everything goes well,” he added.

Both current national captain Babar Azam and former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed are anticipated to captain their respective teams in the exhibition game.
