Virat Kohli, a former captain of India, has risen in the most current MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings in recognition of his outstanding recent play.

During India’s recent ODI series win over Sri Lanka, Kohli hit two hundreds and amassed a staggering 283 runs from three innings. As a result, the right-hander climbed two spots to fourth place on the most recent list of ODI batters.

While Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, maintains a commanding lead with 887 rating points, Virat Kohli increases his total to 750 points and is now closely pursuing Rassie van der Dussen (766) and Quinton de Kock (759) in second and third place, respectively.

Not just Kohli, but colleagues Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav also saw significant improvements in the most recent ICC rankings as a result of their efforts against Sri Lanka.

During the series, Gill smashed a century and a fifty, and his 207 runs at an average of 69 enabled the opener move up 10 spots to 26th overall in the ODI batter rankings.

However, Siraj, a 28-year-old bowler, makes the most notable jump, rising 15 ranks to third on the list of ODI bowlers as a result of his nine series-high wickets.

No bowler took more wickets in that series, as Siraj rises to a career-high rating of 685 points, closing the gap on pacesetters Trent Boult (730) and Josh Hazlewood (730). (727).

Kuldeep was also rewarded for his five wickets in two matches against Sri Lanka, rising seven spots to 21st in the latest bowler rankings.

Following the conclusion of their ODI series in Karachi, a trio of players from Pakistan and New Zealand climbed the rankings as well.

Kane Williamson of New Zealand scored 164 runs during the series and moved up three places to seventh overall in the current batter rankings, while teammate Devon Conway climbed from outside the top 100 to 50th following a century and fifty in three games.

Mohammad Nawaz was the biggest mover for Pakistan, climbing 12 ranks to 28th on the bowlers list after taking six wickets in the series.
